Campaign launched by the Office of Foreign Affairs of the Federal District, in partnership with the Covid-19 Emergency Committee, that aims to mitigate the socialeconomic effects of the disease in Brasilia and surroundings, through the distribution of basic food baskets to the vulnerable population.
Conducted between May 20 and June 15, the action had the participation of almost 80 diplomatic representations based in Brasilia and managed to collect more than 2.6 basic food baskets, totaling about 30 tons of food, more than 500 hygiene kits and several cleaning products and equipments of individual protection, such as masks and gloves, that were collected, sanitized and distributed to the population of the Federal District.
Several Administrative Regions were awarded with the donations collected in the campaign, which impacted the lives of more than 2 thousand families of social vulnerability.
