Nicosia Turkish Municipality Support Project for Musicians

Nicosia Turkish Municipality, which has been contributing to music and arts with the Nicosia Municipal Orchestra for 30 years, now stands in solidarity with musicians who have lost their only source of income due to not being able to perform professionally during the pandemic.

“We Stand by the Musicians of the City” project is launched

NTM begins accepting applications today (Wednesday, February 24) for the “We Stand by the Musicians of the City” project with the goal of supporting musicians who have not been able to work during the pandemic. The applicants will be given the opportunity to perform and receive financial contribution.

30-minute performances will take place at the Bandabuliya Stage without an audience, in accordance with pandemic regulations, and they will be broadcast for public audience through the social and digital media channels of NTM and NMO.

Performers will be selected based on individual applications and musicians will be presented with financial contributions following their performances. Applications can be made by calling 039 223 9825 and 0533 877 1573 during 09:00-18:00 until Wednesday, March 3^rd. Online applications will also be accepted at https://www.lefkosabelediyesi.org/muzisyen-kayit until 3 March 2021. In order to be eligible, musicians need to be 18 years or older, reside within the boundaries of NTM, and have no other sources of income.
