On 23rd May 2020, Phra Khanong District : Mrs. Silapasuai Rawisaengsun, Permanent Secretary for BMA, revealed, after she visited and inspected the readiness of schools before a new semester, that the recent spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) affects the instruction and study of BMA’s affiliated schools, in which the new semester has to be postponed to 1st July 2020, like other schools across the country. In this regard, the BMA has prepared various supportive measures before school starts, which are consisted of following approaches: 1) online classes, only if students and parents are ready and equipped with appropriate leaning tools; 2) on air, if the students and parents do not have learning tools, they can choose to study via television; 3) on hand, in case both ways are not available to them, the students still can study from documents given to them by their teachers to review their lessons during semester break; and 4) on site, which is to have a small group study at the school. Anyhow, each school will further arrange lessons to be appropriate with every class-level.
Applying social distancing measure during semester period is also important. Therefore, the BMA has directed schools to lower the number of students from 40 to 20 students per class. Each class may consider having studying hours overlapped.
