The Cabinet, at its today’s regular meeting, approved a resolution to extend the heightened state of readiness until June 30.
Mongolia is still at a ‘very high risk’ of spread of the novel coronavirus, according to the 8th risk assessment of WHO. In consideration of the present conditions, COVID-19 pandemic situations in neighboring and other world countries as well as other studies, the Operative Team of the State Emergency Commission proposed to extend the period of heightened state of readiness for another month until June 30.
During its extended meeting on May 25, the State Emergency Commission supported the proposal and decided to report it at the Cabinet meeting.
The suspension of international passenger flight and movements of the country’s vehicle crossing border checkpoints for passengers and other types of restrictions and guidelines imposed amid COVID-19 concerns are extended to June 31 within today’s decision.
