Members of the ‘Activists’ team formed by the ‘Student Scholarship Program’ jointly run by Zorig Foundation and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation are implementing ‘Virtual Museum’ project in Ulaanbaatar.
The project “Museum from Home” aims to help children and young people to spend their time fruitfully using their smart devices, such as mobile phone and laptop in this time of global pandemic and to promote national cultural and historical artifacts to the public with the help of technological advance.
Within the project, four museums in Ulaanbaatar city, namely, Mongolian Theater Museum, the Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts, Astropark and Ulaanbaatar city Museum are being presented virtually at the project’s Facebook page and UB.Life website. The museums are offering virtual and podcast tours into their special halls, most interesting exhibition items and their facts.
In addition, on the occasion of International Museum Day, which falls on May 18, an online discussion is to be live streamed today at 6 PM under the topic ‘Urban Culture and Museum’ at gogo.mn website.
