As a symbolic gesture, Budapest’s iconic Chain Bridge has been illuminated with white light from 27 March to honour the work of doctors, healthcare workers, and those helping them to combat the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Mayor Gergely Karácsony wishes to express his gratitude on behalf of every citizen of Budapest to the healthcare workers who, while facing the dangers, are fighting heroically to curb the pandemic in the country.
